Southern Pecan Praline Cake

Instructions

1. Make the Cake Batter

In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, coconut pecan frosting, oil, water, and eggs.
Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and fully blended.

2. Add Pecans

Fold in 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans for that perfect nutty crunch in every bite.

3. Bake the Cake

  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Pour in the batter and smooth the top.

  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

4. Make the Praline Topping

While the cake bakes, melt butter and sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Once the mixture is smooth and heated through, remove from heat and stir in the chopped pecans.

5. Top the Cake

As soon as the cake comes out of the oven, pour the warm praline mixture evenly over the hot cake.
Let it soak in slightly—or serve right away while warm!
