Peach Glazed Pound Cake

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
6. Fold in diced peaches gently.
7. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
8. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9. Allow cake to cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and let cool completely.
10. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla together until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cake before serving.
