Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs, room temperature
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup M&M candies (plus extra for topping)
Instructions
Step 1: Cream the Butter and Sugars
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
Step 2: Add Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
Step 3: Fold in the Good Stuff
Gently stir in chocolate chips and M&M candies.
Chill the dough for 30–60 minutes for thicker cookies (optional but recommended).
Step 4: Bake to Perfection
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon-sized balls and place them a few inches apart.
Press extra M&Ms on top for a colorful finish.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden and centers are slightly soft.
Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
