Cream Puff Cake

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
2. In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
3. Add flour all at once, stirring vigorously until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
4. Remove from heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes.
5. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.
6. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish, forming a round or rectangular base.
7. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
8. For the filling, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add pudding mix and milk gradually, whisking until thick and creamy.
9. Fold in half of the whipped topping until evenly combined.
10. Slice the baked puff in half horizontally. Spread the creamy filling on the bottom half.
11. Top with the remaining whipped topping and gently place the top half of the puff shell over it.
12. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving. Dust with powdered sugar before slicing.
