Classic Homemade Meatloaf

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet or loaf pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
2. In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let them soak for 5 minutes to soften.
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, soaked breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper, parsley, and paprika.
4. Mix gently with your hands or a spatula until everything is just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the meatloaf tender.
5. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan.
6. In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar for the glaze.
7. Spread half of the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
8. Bake for 45 minutes, then remove from the oven and brush with the remaining glaze.
9. Return to the oven and bake for another 15–20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
10. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing to help it hold together.
