Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Unroll the crescent dough and cut into triangles. Place a spoonful of chopped apples in the center of each triangle, then roll up tightly.
3. Arrange the wrapped dumplings in the baking dish.
4. In a saucepan, melt butter with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until smooth and bubbling.
5. Pour the caramel mixture evenly over the dumplings.
6. Carefully pour the apple juice (or water) around the edges of the dish to create extra sauce while baking.
7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the sauce is bubbling.
8. Let cool slightly before serving warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
